Ever since I can remember I’ve loved creating art. When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up I would enthusiastically answer “an artist”!

I think of myself as a "self taught" artist, in that the development of artistic growth and expression comes from within and is a life journey.

Throughout my life I’ve expressed my need to create with a variety of mediums. I have found that mixed media techniques provide unlimited expression.

The work is inspired by vintage toys, fabrics and the vivid colors in nature. I often think of the colors in my garden as color you can drink in. Through art I strive to convey with color, a feeling of joy to brighten a day and bring a smile.

I couldn't write a statement about myself and my work without expressing my good fortune to have a supportive family. My wonderful husband who's always believed in me and two beautiful and talented daughters who inspire me everyday. Their love and influence in my life is an important part of the person/artist I am today.
